The company got its start in 1862, when beloved Cincinnati-based piano teacher Dwight Hamilton Baldwin launched a Decker Brothers piano dealership. In 1866, he hired Lucien Wulsin as a clerk, and the two eventually became partners in the venture, at the time named D.H. Baldwin & Company.

Since then, Baldwin has become the only American piano company to make and distribute quality pianos to all price ranges and aspects of the piano market. The handmade Artist Grands, built at the Trumann Factory in the U.S.A., are among the finest anywhere, at any price. Baldwin pianos are famous for their touch, tone, and durability.

Model A

The Model A is widely considered to be the world’s best grand piano under 6 feet.

Although it’s Mason & Hamlin’s smallest grand piano, the Model A has an enormous volume and tone that are comparable to instruments of much greater size. This remarkable piano was created for professional use in schools, churches and other institutions, and for anyone one who requires grand piano characteristics in a compact vertical size.

The Model 50 surpasses all other uprights in power and tone and with Mason & Hamlin innovations like the Tension Resonator, which preserves the crown of the soundboard, and sturdy 6-post back construction, the Model 50 will withstand years of strenuous use.
